Nintendo 3DS repair services end early in Japan
nintendo dominated the video game industry. It’s become a juggernaut of a company and a staple for so many iconic video game console platforms and video game titles. Although the company has come a long way since the original launch of the Nintendo Entertainment System video game console, it is also a leading video game company for gamers on the go.
For decades, the company that shipped models such as NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, GameCube, Wii, etc., also shipped portable handhelds. The Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advanced, and the DS line were all selling very well. Gamers could take some of their favorite video game IPs with them on their travels. Meanwhile, support for these platforms was pretty good, Nintendo kept them alive for years, not to mention a slew of video game titles.
One of Nintendo’s last handheld devices was the Nintendo 3DS line up. It offered a 3D-like effect to a screen giving gamers a sense of depth in the game. While it worked incredibly well, it was eventually superseded by Nintendo’s hybrid console release. the nintendo switch was a device that could be used both as a traditional home console and as a portable device. This game console didn’t take long before the Nintendo 3DS was officially discontinued.
Luckily, those with a 3DS could still get necessary repairs from Nintendo if they were needed. However, these have come to an end, with Japan being one of the markets to offer this service for the rest of this month. This has now suddenly stopped as well as Nintendo struggled to find the parts needed to complete the handheld device repairs. For now, it looks like Japanese consumers will also have to look to third-party companies to perform repairs if their Nintendo 3DS suddenly becomes faulty.
