What’s a polarizing Nintendo game that you love?

As a longtime developer with an exceptional pedigree, Nintendo has developed its fair share of games with universal fame, and it’s been involved in a few not-so-good titles as well. He also made some that do not enjoy as much consensus. Polarizing Nintendo games fuel heated debate and define unique tastes. By nature they have detractors, they will often be guarded by some of the most passionate fans you have ever seen. What’s a divisive Nintendo game that you love?

I will scream Star Fox Assault, who I believe is the only experimental Star fox title that moved the series in the right direction. Those who don’t like the game cite awkward foot controls, a lack of air missions, and a clunky storyline. Meanwhile, those who love the game haven’t had much of a problem with the controls, and they’ll be supporting their love for the fantastic multiplayer, thrilling single-player adventure, and goofy storyline. While I find Star Fox Assault a little too short, the precious campaign pieces we get are awesome, and it’s replayable like hell. It’s also casually one of the best multiplayer games of all time. It’s a shame that Nintendo never revisited this approach to Star fox; I think they were really into something, and the show might have had a better future if they hadn’t started dropping stuff like Star Fox Command and Star Fox Zero (which, by the way, would be my choice for a polarizing Nintendo game that I absolutely have hated).
