The 2020s are just a few days away and the door to the 2010s is closing quickly. Among many other things, the past decade has been an incredible era in gaming. In the games department, Nintendo has had one hell of a run, itself: the end of the Wii era has seen enduring classics like Super mario galaxy 2, The Legend of Zelda: Sky Sword, and Xenoblade. The Wii U has handled awesome games like Mario kart 8, Splatoon, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The 3DS continues the success of the DS range with the much-deserved Western emergence of Fire emblem as well as a new era of portable grandeur of the Big N, capitalized by games like Super Mario 3D Land and those forgotten by crime Kid Icarus: Insurrection. Finally, the Switch closed the decade in style, blowing us away with Nintendo’s most consistent and impressive release in a long, long time. There were so many amazing games to choose from, and it’s hard to pick just one, but today I’m asking you all to pick your favorite Nintendo title from the past decade.

I have to go with it Super Mario Odyssey. In a colorful, expansive, and whimsical adventure, the game returned my favorite series to its form of exploration that has since been sorely missed. Super Mario Sun. Coming the first year after the disappointing era of the Wii U, Super Mario Odyssey combined with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to bring back the notoriety that I had hoped for for a long, long time. For me, Super Mario Odyssey marked a new era for Nintendo, defined by an infectious momentum that still has not slowed down.

What was your Nintendo game of the decade? They started off strong and, for the most part, kept up the pace throughout the decade. As a result, there are dozens of games to choose from, all worthy of recognition. Which one is your favorite?
