Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop offline for three days now

The Nintendo 3DS and Wii U came out a decade ago, and fans of these portable consoles still love them. Sometime ago, nintendo decided to discontinue the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop from the end of March 2023, saying it was “is part of the natural life cycle of any product line as it becomes less used by consumers over time.” However, one thing that Nintendo clarified was the fact that players will still be able to download the already owned game with “no plans to make any other changes at this time.” However, this announcement appears to have changed as players cannot download games from the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop storefronts.

At first, players having trouble downloading from the Wii U and 3DS eShop thought there was something wrong with their connection. However, later on Twitter, many users reported that there was something wrong with the Nintendo eShop. According to gamers, it has now been over 3 days and Nintendo seems to have done nothing to fix the problem.

More than GBATemp, many gamers seem to be facing the same issue, where they first noted that users having trouble downloading from the Wii U and 3DS eShop is Nintendo’s fault. In the forum they stated that around 10:00 PM CST, Nintendo quietly removed both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS eShop, “leaving previously downloaded purchases and titles unable to be redownloaded.”

In February, Nintendo made clear notes in its message, saying that “For the foreseeable future, it will still be possible to redownload games and downloadable content, receive software updates, and play online on Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.” It seems unlikely that Nintendo will go back on its word and officially decide to disable all used item downloads from the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS web store, so it could all just be a bug. in the system. So far, there have been no updates from the company on the subject in question, and we hope that they will fix these issues soon.
